Beija Flor rugs stay completely flat, do not move and are waterproof, therefore easy to clean, as you can simply wash them with soap and water without having to put them in the washing machine like old rugs.

Beija Flor was founded in 2007 by designer Maya Kounievsky. Her deep fascination with motifs, shapes and materials, and their reciprocity with emotions and perceptions is what started Beija Flor's journey. Nature has influenced us to explore and interpret geometric shapes in a way that celebrates the ancient relationship between man and his surroundings. And so Beija Flor's creations are a fusion of a timeless aesthetic inspired by cultures from around the world, with the practicality of the modern lifestyle.

Beija Flor, therefore, is an intimate design house specializing in the restoration of ancient tiles and traditional artists. Fueled by a true passion for creative expression, vi is a continuous learning process that is not tied to a time or place.
