Mélange is the perfect combination of tradition and modernity, fashion and home, craftsmanship and design, past and future. The collection (made up of 20 models) symbolizes a fusion of marked contradictions working together, serving as complements. Thanks to the simplification of classic motifs such as geometric patterns and a reduced color palette, the Mélange is a contemporary version of the Kilim. An exercise in aesthetic rationalization that supports the ancestral craft techniques of Pakistan. A gigantic patchwork effect is achieved by layering Mélange rugs, perfect for decorative and warmth purposes.

The product is VISIBLE and can also be purchased at our Showroom: Crespi 1977 - via Magenta 48, Busto Arsizio (VA).

NANIMARQUINA- "I wanted to design visually striking rugs to please people."

The design is infused in the essence of nanimarquina, and thanks to this we have been able to achieve our goal: to create rugs that convey emotions and make us feel good. Driven by a passion for design and thanks to a long history in private and public projects, nanimarquina has become an international reference in contemporary carpets and interior design. “We understand the carpet as the soul of a space”: The textures, colors and shapes of the nanimarquina try to improve people's well-being.

PRODUCTION: Hand-spun kilim with loom.

A flat-weave rug in which the warp threads attached to the loom are woven with the weft threads. One of the main features of this technique is that the weft is much denser and more consistent than the warp, making it bear the weight of the design. These rugs usually contain many colors and generally show geometric patterns. The process allows the use of wires of different thicknesses and origins. Traditionally, kilim is a high-density, durable and strong rug (even in the case of very light rugs).

MATERIAL: Fibers with 100% Afghan wool.

Hand-spun wool from native sheep of Afghanistan. This fiber has a low environmental impact as the rugs are woven in neighboring Pakistan. Traditionally, wool is the most used material for rugs. By presenting key characteristics, wool offers quality, flexibility and is 100% biodegradable. It is hypoallergenic, easy to care for and ages well. In addition, it is considered an excellent thermal and acoustic insulator, as well as naturally regulating humidity. Wool rugs help create welcoming and comfortable environments.
